Πραγματοποιήθηκαν τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης Lefkart VIII

Πραγματοποιήθηκαν την  Τρίτη, 24 Φεβρουαρίου 2026, τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης Lefkart VIII, παρουσία της Υφυπουργού Πολιτισμού κ. Βασιλικής Κασσιανίδου και του Δημάρχου Λάρνακας Ανδρέα Βύρα, συγκεντρώνοντας πλήθος ανθρώπων από τον χώρο της εκπαίδευσης και του πολιτισμού, καθώς και νέους φοιτητές και μαθητές.

Στο Lefkart VIII, το Λευκαρίτικο Κέντημα δεν λειτουργεί μόνο ως σημείο αναφοράς, αλλά ως πεδίο ανοικτού διαλόγου μεταξύ των νέων δημιουργών και του κληροδοτημένου νήματος, προσκαλώντας το κοινό να δει την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά όχι ως στατικό αποτύπωμα, αλλά ως ενεργό πεδίο σύγχρονης δημιουργίας.

Η έκθεση παρουσιάζει έργα μαθητών Μέσης, Μέσης Τεχνικής και Ανώτερης Εκπαίδευσης, καθώς και συμμετεχόντων από Κέντρα Απασχόλησης ΑμεΑ, με θεματικό άξονα το “Λευκαρίτικο

Κέντημα ως Πηγή Έμπνευσης” για Παιδιά και Νέους.

Η διοργάνωση πραγματοποιείται από το Ίδρυμα Πολιτιστικής Δημιουργίας για Παιδιά και Νέους σε συνεργασία με τα Αρχεία Λάρνακας – Φοίβος Σταυρίδης και την επιμέλεια του Δρ. Ιωσήφ Χατζηκυριακου. Το πρόγραμμα υλοποιείται με την στήριξη του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού και του Οργανισμού Νεολαίας Κύπρου με την υποστήριξη του Larnaka 2030, της Αρχής Αντιμετώπισης Εξαρτήσεων Κύπρου και του YouthMakerspace Larnaka.

Η έκθεση τελείται υπό την Αιγίδα της Κυπριακής Εθνικής Επιτροπής UNESCO.

 Lefkart VIII — 8 years of co-creation

Last Tuesday, 24 February 2026, the opening of the Lefkart VIII exhibition took place in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Culture and the Mayor of Larnaca, bringing together a wide audience from the fields of education and culture, as well as young university students and pupils.

At LEFKART VIII , Lefkara Embroidery is not treated merely as a point of reference, but as an open field of dialogue between young creators and the inherited elements, inviting the public to view cultural heritage not as a static imprint but as an active field of contemporary creation.

The exhibition presents works by students of Secondary, Technical Secondary and Higher Education, as well as participants from Centres for Persons with Disabilities, under the thematic focus “Lefkara Embroidery as a Source of Inspiration” for Children and Youth.

The exhibition is organized by Larnaca Cultural Foundation for Children and Youth in collaboration with the Larnaka Archives – Phivos Stavrides Stavrides, with the support of the Υφυπουργείο Πολιτισμού – Deputy Ministry of Culture CY and the Οργανισμός Νεολαίας Κύπρου / Youth Board of Cyprus and with the contribution of Larnaka 2030, the Cyprus National Addictions Authority, and YouthMakerspace Larnaka. The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO.
