Sykes has established operations in Cyprus and are in a phase of growing. We wish to extend our regional IT team with another member. You will be based in our Larnaca office and will be part of the virtual team supporting our sites in Northern & Southern Europe.

The work is very varied where several projects and cases running in parallel, you need to be service-oriented and structured at the same time. We see that you find it easy to dive into problems and are a good solver, both practically and theoretically. As well as having the ability to be perceptive and responsive to users or customers’ needs and problems.

Our IT environment is today built on thin clients and PCs, configured based on customer requirements. There is also a share of regular laptops. We run VMWare as the virtualization platform and mostly Windows Servers. The network consists of Cisco devices and we have Avaya as telephony platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administrating Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Patch management.
  • Microsoft Office with Outlook and Exchange, cloud or on premises.
  • Networking knowledge and limited Cisco administration
  • Experience of working with end user support, case management and help desk
  • There will also be the possibility for travel between sites as and when required
  • PC installation
  • Remote Desktop Services and thin clients

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • General experience of virtualization in VMware
  • General knowledge using Citrix
  • General knowledge IP Telephony
  • Linux experience
  • General Active Directory skills

      Language skills

  • English is our corporate language, so you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and written.
  • Supporting Southern Europe region, being a Greek speaker is a must.

The job is including on-call rota and full time. Start date will be as agreed.
